British
operator EE has the current distinction of having the only 4G LTE network in
the U.K., and the company yesterday announced that it will widen that lead by expanding into
several more markets before its rivals have a chance to introduce a competitive
4G network.
EE
plans to cover more than 65 cities and towns throughout the U.K. by June, which
would raise the coverage area from 45 percent of the population to 55 percent.
Beginning in April and concluding in June, the following areas will receive 4G
LTE service:
